Step-by-Step Financial Planning Program
Educating families about financial security

Achieving economic security requires more than just a good income, some money in the bank, a home, financial knowledge, and a good neighborhood;  it requires taking your goals, matching them up with a realistic plan that accounts for and mitigates against risk, and executing that plan over a period of time. The Step-by-Step Financial Planning Program is available to current homeowners who have been in their home for at least a year. If you are on the path to becoming a homeowner, keep this program in mind as your next step after purchasing your home.

Throughout the program, INHP will work with you to:

Understand your needs

Develop a plan that considers:

  • Your financial goals
  • Your stabilized assets, liabilities, income, and expenses, along with the risks that may cause reality to differ from expectations and how these risks can be mitigated
  • Tax issues
  • Legal advice
  • Your unique circumstances that may affect your plan

Provide a plan that is portable and offers longer-term follow-up services and referrals

Help you develop asset-building strategies

Help you develop risk-mitigation strategies

Help you understand financial literacy and planning focused on your household income

What do you receive during the program?

  • Materials including:  a summary of your current economic security status, a financial forecast of future economic security status, and a written plan to achieve that status that is understood by you
  • Workshops on financial topics (e.g. insurance coverages, estimating retirement needs, or estate planning)
  • One-on-one meetings with an advisor to develop plans, action steps, and feedback.
  • Internet capability that provides an option for program delivery that allows you to access information at your convenience.
  • Opportunity to have follow-up meetings with your advisor after completion of the program should you have questions or require additional assistance.
